Dear Cbonds users,
We are delighted to announce that Cbonds database now includes information on domestic government bonds of Hungary. Hungary's sovereign debt market is one of the most receptive and sophisticated in Eastern Europe.
Budapest is pursuing a flexible and diversified policy of public debt management, and holding 30-40 monthly auctions to place, exchange and repurchase domestic bonds of different maturities. Short-term bond segment is represented by Discount Treasury Bills and Interest-Bearing Treasury Bills issued for a maximum term of one year. Long-term Hungarian Government Bonds are issued for 3, 5, 10 and 15 years; coupon interest is paid primarily at a fixed rate once a year. Individual investors preferring euro are offered floating-rate Premium Euro Hungarian Government Bonds.
Cbonds database includes 98 outstanding local bond issues of Hungary with maturities starting from half a year, totaling approximately HUF 13 trillion (USD 59 bln). In addition to bond parameters, issue pages contain auction results for recent years and quotes from the leading European trading floors and the OTC market.
